The final day - July 5th 1952 - and London Transport 200 leads a line of cars on their final journeys near to New Cross Gate Depot. Days later, many of these trams would have been scrapped. Note the ‘Last Tram Week’ banners attached to the upper side panels - these were fitted to nearly all of London’s trams during the last few days, replacing many advertisements that were previously seen on the cars.
